Behind the result - No mystery in the method

Your focus, setting, tone, and pace add fixed points to a small genre-tag scorecard. Focus contributes up to four points to a related tag; setting and tone contribute up to four; pace contributes up to two. The result shows the three highest positive totals, with alphabetical tie-breaking and the exact contributing rules. Points are labels for comparing your choices, not probabilities or quality ratings. Your typed title is only a label: its wording is not analysed, and no claim is made about the actual genre or age suitability of a published work.

Blank optional fields are omitted. Text is displayed literally, not interpreted as HTML. Print or save the result to keep a record of your plan.

Before you go

How should I use the title field?

Use a personal label that helps you recognise the result. Genre directions are calculated from the focus, setting, tone, and pace you select. Change one preference and generate a new result to compare how it affects the ranking.

What do the points mean?

They are a transparent comparison score, not a likelihood, review score, or scientific recommendation. The contribution list shows precisely why each of the three genre tags received points.

Are genre tags also age ratings?

No. A genre does not determine age suitability, content warnings, or the intended audience. Check independent, trustworthy information before choosing reading for a child or a sensitive reader.
